Known & Becoming began as a place for ministry and teaching, but somewhere along the way I realized it was becoming something more: a place to gather the things I'm learning, writing, noticing, photographing, and creating as I live my own ordinary life with God.
Some days that looks like opening my Bible and asking hard questions. Sometimes it's a microphone and a conversation about faith. Sometimes it's a photograph of morning light I couldn't walk past without stopping. Sometimes it's a poem, an essay, paint on my hands, or a fictional character who won't leave until I write her story.
I believe God meets us there—in the sacred and the ordinary, in what we understand and what we're still figuring out, in who we've already become and who we're becoming still.

A little more about me...
I live in Northeast Arkansas with my husband, Mark, and our blended family of six children. Before Known & Becoming, I spent nearly two decades in education as a teacher and school counselor, and I've spent much of my life serving in the church—as a worship leader, women's ministry leader, children's teacher, and discipleship leader.
But most of my life happens outside of titles. I'm a mother, wife, reader, writer, amateur photographer, collector of beautiful sentences, and chronic stopper-for-good-light. There are usually books stacked beside my bed, something half-written in a notebook, a camera roll full of things everyone else walked past, and more ideas than I have hours to make them.
My faith isn't separate from any of that. It's woven through it. I'm interested in what happens when we pay attention—to God, to one another, to beauty, to questions, and to the ordinary lives we're already living.
