Episode 13 | Are you living FREE or just forgiven?
Episode 13 | THE MIRROR | FREEDOM
Are you living FREE or just forgiven?
Can you know you’re forgiven… and still live weighed down by shame?
Can you believe Jesus has set you free… yet still feel controlled by fear, comparison, perfectionism, people-pleasing, bitterness, or the need to control everything around you?
In this second episode of the Freedom series, we’re looking into The Mirror—allowing God’s Word to reveal what may still be quietly holding our hearts captive.
Using Isaiah 61:1–3 as our anchor passage, Jenny explores the beautiful truth that Jesus came not only to forgive our sins, but to proclaim freedom to every place we’ve remained bound by lies. Together we’ll discover how our deepest struggles are often connected, why every chain is attached to a lie, and how God’s truth gently leads us into lasting freedom. You’ll also learn the difference between conviction and shame, why grace can never be earned, and how exchanging lies for biblical truth transforms the way we live.
In this episode, you’ll discover:
• Why it’s possible to know the gospel yet still live like a prisoner
• The hidden emotional chains many Christian women carry
• How comparison, fear, people-pleasing, perfectionism, control, bitterness, and shame are connected
• The difference between conviction and condemnation
• Why truth—not positive thinking—is what sets us free
• A practical “Chains Exercise” to help replace lies with God’s Word
• A guided prayer asking the Holy Spirit to search our hearts
