What Is Keeping You From Being Available to God?

We make plans. We fill calendars. We manage responsibilities. And somewhere in the middle of it all, we ask God to guide our steps.

But have we actually left Him room to do that?

Sometimes the greatest obstacle to being available to God isn’t something bad. It’s simply everything else.

The responsibilities we carry. The distractions competing for our attention. The constant noise that fills even our quietest moments.

In Week 2 of AVAILABLE, we’re turning the mirror toward our everyday lives and asking what might be preventing us from recognizing God’s invitations.

Through Scripture and ordinary, familiar experiences, we’ll explore the difference between busyness and distraction, our desire to control our schedules, and the importance of becoming spiritually attentive.

Because God’s purposes for our days aren’t necessarily limited to the things we’ve planned.

Sometimes they’re found in the conversations we didn’t expect, the people we almost overlooked, and the moments we would have rushed through.

Perhaps becoming more available to God doesn’t begin with doing more. Perhaps it begins with paying attention.
