FAITH: When God Asks You To Move Before You Understand

What if God asks you to obey before He tells you how it's going to turn out?

Maybe it isn't something enormous. Maybe you're standing at the kitchen sink when you feel that familiar prompting again: Call her.

You know the next step. You just don't know why it matters, what you're going to say, or what happens after you obey.

In this week's Known & Becoming, we continue our September study of FAITH in Hebrews 11 with Noah—a man Scripture says was “warned about what was not yet seen” and responded by building an ark.

Noah didn't have the benefit of standing on the other side of the story like we do. He couldn't see the flood yet.

God gave Noah a word—not a weather report.

Together, we'll look at Hebrews 11:7 and Genesis 6–8 and ask what Noah's obedience reveals about our own hesitation to trust God when we don't have the full picture.

Because faith isn't revealed only by what we say we believe.

Faith becomes visible through the way that we live.

Anchor Scripture: Hebrews 11:7

Reflection Question:
Have I ever obeyed God without knowing where it led?

This week, consider the thing God has already made clear. Are you waiting for understanding—or are you willing to pick up the hammer and take the next faithful step?
